Professional Driver - First Aid

DSA Upload fees are recharged at cost which is currently £8.75 per delegate per seven-hour course (VAT exempt)


Professional drivers are required to partake in ongoing training to keep standards high and improve safety on the road. Every 5 years, you are required to complete 35 hours of this refresher training, or 7 hours per year.

A 7 hour Professional Driver’s First Aid Course giving professional drivers the skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver effective first aid in the event of an emergency incident on the road. Training is highly practical and beneficial not only to the driver, but to anyone in need of first aid whether roadside or not.

  • Communication and Casualty Care
  • Spinal Injury
  • Casualty Movement
  • Unconscious Casualty
  • Safer Handling and Moving
  • Head Injuries
  • Fainting and Shock
  • Bleeding (Severe And Minor)
  • Bone, Muscle and Joint Injuries
  • Asthma
  • Chest Pains (Heart Attack and Angina)
  • Resuscitation (Cpr)
  • Emergencies In Public


The application of the system in a range of situations including at junctions & roundabouts, when overtaking and on the motorway will be discussed.

The session concludes with a knowledge check quiz.

A maximum of 15 students can be accommodated on this course.

Combine this module with one of our other 3.5 hour modules to create a JAUPT approved seven hour Driver CPC course.
Both modules must be delivered on one day or in a 24 hour period to qualify for 7 hours CPC periodic training attendance.
