Mental Health First Aid Course (Levels 1,2,3)

Each year approximately 1 in 4 people in the uk will experience a mental health condition and at least 1 in 6 employees experience common mental health problems in the workplace.

The courses offered can not only equip staff with the skills necessary to identify mental health conditions within the workplace, engage in conversation, and help direct those affected towards the most appropriate help and advice, but also change attitudes within your organisation to reflect a more positive understanding of mental health.

All of the subjects listed below are offered through an OFQUAL or similar regulated awarding body.

This course is without doubt not limited to the workplace and would also be very useful to an individual who would like to equip themselves to assist others who may have potential mental health issues - neighbours / friends / family etc

Level 1 Award

Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (1/2 day)

Cost : £70 + VATpp

This 1⁄2 Day course is aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions, and the skills to start a conversation, helping to signpost the person towards professional help. It is ideal for new staff inductions and existing staff at all levels within the organisation.

4 Hours of Training

First-2-Aid-U Training Suite, Glasgow (Convenient free parking available). On site instruction available by request.


Certification

This course is a NUCO Training (Ofqual registered) certified course.

Includes certification for 3 years, Id Card and Booklet.

Numbers

A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course and all candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age.

Refresher Training is highly recommended to keep up to date in the First Aid environment.


Level 2 Award

Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (1 day)

Cost : £125 + VATpp

This 1 Day course covers the content of the 1/2 day course but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan, and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace. The course is ideal for team leaders and staff at a similar team leader level within your organisation.

This course is a NUCO Training (Ofqual registered) certified course.

Level 3 Award

Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health (2 day)

Cost : £225 + VATpp

This 2 day course goes into detail on a wide range of mental health conditions and the support and help provided by healthcare professionals. It covers the content of both the 1/2 and 1 day courses but is aimed at supervisor level within the workplace. The course is ideal for managers and staff at a more senior supervisory level within your organisation.

16 Hours of Training
