Stair Evacuation - 6 Hour On Site Course
Award in Fire Safety
Certificate of Competency
There is a common misunderstanding that it is the responsibility of the emergency services to ensure everyone evacuates from a building safely, it is not!
There is a legal requirement in many countries for employers and service providers to ensure the safe evacuation of mobility impaired persons in the event of an emergency.
With training from First-2-Aid-U and evacuation equipment from our partners GLOBEX Evacuation Chairs, we can provide a cost effective method of ensuring the safe evacuation of non-ambulant persons from the upper or lower levels of buildings in the event of an emergency, or when lifts can not be used due to maintenance or a power failure.
This ½ day in-house course will equip staff with the ability to safely use evacuation chairs. The course covers the deployment and handling of an evacuation chair and passenger. It will also cover advice on the sitting and distribution of chairs as well as improving awareness of their multiple uses. A practical approach is taken to ensure that plenty of hands-on practice – all under expert supervision.
